Example Paragraph (Can be from another RP): “Now Lainey”, her mother’s stern voice began, “I know this is all very scary to you, being in a new place and all, but I want you to just think of this as a fresh start.” Lainey’s golden eyes darted in her mother’s direction, in the driver’s seat. She had been deep in thought before her mother spoke. Lainey gave a slight nod. She had heard it all before from the rest of the family members. Lainey’s glance returned to the window. She watched carefully as the unfamiliar location flashed across the car window. Lainey was terrified, not only because she was being taken to a school she had never heard of before, which was strange considering she lived in the same country, but because she was not sure how people who react to Lainey’s difficult personality. She was shy, and very closed off, she did not like to explain things, and hated being asked too many questions. She didn’t want anyone to know too much about her, and what she was going through. She wanted to appear normal, and happy.
The enormous building finally came into sight. It was old, vintage, and as mentioned before, it was big. Lainey let out a shaky breath. She turned towards her mother, pleading with her eyes for her mother to turn the car around. Her mother just simply gave her a warm smile. “Mom…I can’t do this.” Lainey croaked. Tears began to fill her eyes, and she didn’t bother to hold them back, she wanted to go home. Her mother reached over and patted her knee. “Lainey, you’ll be fine dear.” Her mother encouraged. This comment, however, did not make her feel better. Lainey just simply shook her head. The car finally came to a stop, and Lainey knew her mom would not let her throw this opportunity away. Her mother turned her body, so that she could directly face her daughter. “Lainey, I know you’re scared darling, but you can do this, I know you can.” Her mother reached into her coat pocket and pulled out a small, wrinkled piece of paper. She placed it directly into Lainey’s hands. “That is the directions to the nearest clinic, I want you to go there when you need to, Lainey.” Lainey looked down at the piece of paper in her hands then back up to her mother. Memories of her last visit to the clinic flashed in her head. “Mom…” Her mother shook her head. “Lainey, please.” Lainey folded up the paper and tucked it into her pocket. Her mother reached out and placed a hand on Lainey’s cheek, she looked directly into her eyes. “If you need anything dear, I’m one phone call away. Good luck.” With that her mother exited the car and walked around to the back to pull Lainey’s bags out of the car. Lainey slowly followed her mother and took the bags, giving her mother a kiss on the cheek before turning and walking into the direction of the building, not looking back, not once.
